The Historical City of Toledo

Toledo was a Roman municipium, the capital of the Visigothic kingdom. The city was one of the most important fortresses of the Emirate of Cordoba, an outpost of the Christian kingdoms, in the fight against the Moors. During the 16th century, Toledo was temporary the seat of supreme power under Charles the V. Toledo has preserved its heritage from 4,000 years of history.
